Take a good look at today’s fashionistas and see how often you can spot leopard flat shoes. The big cat look is everywhere. From giraffes to zebras, animal prints are extraordinarily popular these days but there’s something about a set of spots that really sets off a woman’s wardrobe. Imagine a pair of leopard flat shoes with a black pencil skirt, a pair of skinny jeans or the eternally classy LBD (little black dress). A glimpse of leopard is a surefire head-turner at any occasion!

Of course, leopard flats don’t just purr like little kitties. They roar like the big jungle cats they are. That’s why it’s important to give your leopards plenty of room to roar and to choose only the best companions for their singular looks.

Leap Like The Big Cats In Leopard Flat Shoes

Designer Beverly Feldman seems to have cornered the high-fashion market on those spotted shoes this season. Her Women’s Flashy Jeweled Flat combines spots with an embellishment of glittering crystals on the toe. For something with a little less glitz, Nordstrom’s features the Beverly Feldman “Ideally” Flat, decorated with a goldtone chain interlaced with grosgrain ribbon above quilted leopard-print fabric. The designer even uses a leopard print topped with studs and jewels for the Buono sandal. And each design retails for around $150 per pair!

Of course, it isn’t necessary to go high fashion to enjoy leopard flat shoes. Target has sold Xhilaration flats in leopard prints, while Sears recently offered the K9 Zoey leopard print flat in brown for $14.99. For those who like their spots sporty, Punkrose’s mid-high Funk Leopard Sneakers come in pink for $25.99. There are also versions in black and white and turquoise at similar prices.

Larger-sized ladies can indulge their love of leopard print shoes as well. Silhouettes.com offers a flirty Leopard printed casual that works with leggings, jeans or trousers and comes in wide widths for only $49 on sale.

You’d think those spots would be more than enough to call attention, but no. For example Diego de Luca’s leopard flats come in a metallic finish on the 6PM.com site. Fortunately, at $29.50 they are as easy on the pocketbook as they are flashy on the feet. Meanwhile, Franco Sarto Women’s Charm Flat on Amazon.com comes in tan and black calf’s hair with leopard print on sale for $35.99. With a ¾-inch heel, a kicky little bow on the toe and contrast trim, these flats are the ideal accent for any outfit.

Clearly those leopards have leapt into the fashion mainstream. In fact, every woman ought to have at least one pair of leopard flat shoes in her wardrobe to jazz up everything from a day at the office to a night on the town. Those little leopards can take their wearers places they never dreamed they’d go, were it not for those little black spots lending plenty of catlike curiosity and jungle courage to an otherwise humdrum day. So leap into your own pair of leopards and become a top fashion cat yourself. Let ‘em hear you growl!
